Snake River Inmate Overview

Snake River Correctional Institution is a state prison operated by the Oregon Department of Corrections. It is located in Ontario near the Oregon and Idaho border. ODOC describes it as Oregon's largest correctional institution and a multi-custody facility. Snake River is run by Oregon DOC for adults sentenced to state prison. A person arrested in Vale, Ontario, Nyssa, or elsewhere in the county does not become a Snake River inmate just because the prison is nearby.
